Hi, I am Gabriel Rosanwo.
During my training at University College Hospital Medical school London my teachers were sufficiently impressed by my attention to detain that they asked me to do my 1st non-rotational forceps delivery as a final year medical student in 1979.
Routing Operative vaginal deliveries were regular weekly events over the next 15 years in the United Kingdom, where every complication was reviewed by monthly departmental mortality and morbidity meetings. Perinatal and maternal mortality statistics are second to none in England.
On joining my family in the USA in 1995 I continued with regular operative vaginal deliveries as a resident physician in Michigan and in subsequent independent practice. The outcomes remain good and many Cesarean sections were avoided.
I am producing this digital book because several colleagues have expressed the desire to acquire these operative vaginal delivery skill-sets.
In addition I think it would be a great loss if a new cohort of medical students and physician
residents rise through the ranks unaware of the great value of these less invasive treatment options.
